Amtrak service projected start: November 2009

Icicle Station will provide access to and from Leavenworth, and the upper Wenatchee Valley, by utilizing the existing, daily service of Amtrak's Empire Builder

Recent Project Updates

• 12/31/08 Projekt Bayern, a Leavenworth community civic group, contributes $25,000 to Icicle Station for the construction of one of the two on-platform passenger shelters, and provides "seed" funding for the construction of the second shelter.
• 12/9/08 City of Leavenworth approves $50,000 of supplemental funding to Icicle Station for 2009 budget.
• 12/1/08 Port of Chelan approves $100,000 of supplemental Funding to Icicle Station for 2009 budget.
• 11/17/08 Icicle Station 65% design documents completed and reviewed by agencies.
